However, she did not learn the cause of her death until thirteen years later. She chose the stage name Bea in honor of her father who passed away. Bea also published an article published in The Guardian on her family's death experience. Bea as well as her younger sister Sinead, were raised in the home of Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) an ex-jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. The family was obsessed with races and horses.
